Unfortunately I don't look as good as the model but I get this question every week at least once. I live in a rural area so the fact that I have publish novels is pretty well known. Also, the books seem to have been well liked. I give the glory for that to God as he's the one who gives me the stories. I thought I'd give you an update as to where I am in my writing.
I've got three books going write now; Leah's Peace and Chasing Norie are the beginnings of the Stones Creek series. Set in Colorado in 1867 the two young women get off the train in Stones Creek at the same time. Leah is looking to forget what's come before and Norie is coming back to the father and ranch she loves. Their stories will parallel one another as Leah and Eli struggle to overcome their meeting several years ago. Norie will lead Linc on a wild goose chase as she struggles against his objections about her lifestyle.
The third book is a departure from historical fiction as God has given me a contemporary story. After treating Kyria in the hospital for over a month Dr. Mark Jenner doesn't want her to walk out of his life. Kyria is trying to break out of the solitude of her upbringing which left her with feelings of inadequacy. His large loving family nearly overwhelm her. Mark must adjust his views of what husbands and wives bring and contribute to marriage. Untitled at this time the story has shifted several times needing rewriting as it unfolds.
It's my goal to have all three out by the end of summer. Okay that goal has now been laid out for all the world to see. I'd better stop pulling my hair out and go write.

Sophie Dawson has made up stories in her head all her life. It wasn’t until 2011 that she began writing typing them out.
Her first books were all historical fiction romance. They’ve won multiple awards and garnered rave reviews. Now, Sophie is branching out into contemporary romance though she plans to continue writing historical and hopes to add more books in her popular Cottonwood and Stones Creek series.
Sophie lives with her husband and cat on a farm in western Illinois. She’s an avid seamstress and was a professional quilter for a number of years before the writing bug bit. She’s just thankful it’s not fatal.
