I've not posted for a couple of weeks. We had some family things going on which kept me from having the time and ambition to post. Things are great now with the harvest going well. In case you didn't know we live on a family farm in western Illinois. September and October not only am I a football widow but a farm widow as well. Now that the boys are raised and out on there own it's great. No hubby in and out all day. I have several email accounts. You might also. I don't know how you manage yours, but my inboxes can get overloaded at times. Right now in my personal and writing accounts I have 241 unread emails and 684 total emails. Looking around the room I'm working in reveals that the clutter doesn't limit itself to my inboxes. Many of the emails won't get looked at. Many are from places I shop online alerting me of sales, new products, etc. These I'll get rid of pretty quickly. Just do a 'from' sort highlight them all and delete. Others resemble the pile of snail mail and magazines growing on my counter. The 'oh, that looks interesting' and 'I need to deal with that sometime.' This is especially true in my writing email. It's the one you would email if you want to contact me as Sophie. There are emails about writing and marketing and such. They fall into the 'oh, that looks interesting' group. I plan to read them all one day. I'm not sure when that one day will ever come, but they will most likely still be there if it ever does.

Love's Love is now available for the Kindle and other formats at Smashwords. Getting this ready for release was one of the reasons there was no blog post last week. The other was doing apples. There's over 30 quart canned and ready for winter. Now I'm waiting for the Roma tomatoes to turn red so I can do sauce. I've had many readers contacting me saying they were waiting anxiously for Lord's Love. I figured not taking the time to write a blog and getting the book released would be more welcome than posting last week and having it still waiting to be released. I hope you agree. I'm waiting for the print cover do finish up the standard and large print editions. These are ready to go, so all I have to do is upload the cover and they will be ready. Price for the e-formats is $4.99. Print will be$14.99 and large print $16.99. If you are near Aledo I will be at the Mercer Carnegie Library Saturday, September 22, 2012 from 11:00 - Noon for signing and a reading of a portion of Lord's Love. You'll be able to purchase the book at Wagner's Pharmacy as soon as I can get copies. I will also have them for sale after noon outside. On Paula Sands Live on Wednesday, September 26, 2012 Dianne Graham, chairperson of the Sherrard Pumpkin Fest will be promoting the event and will have my books as part of her presentation. I'm very honored that she told them about my work. I will have a booth at the festival selling and signing both Healing Love and Lord's Love. I hope to see you there. |
