2014 and counting

I hope your holiday season was happy and blessed and you are looking forward to the new year. I am. God has blessed me and my family and we give Him all the praise and glory.

I've set goals for this year. They aren't resolutions since I'm pretty bad at following through. Goals sounds more positive to me. Resolutions seem to focus on the negative aspects I need to fix. Goals are looking to improve in areas the Holy Spirit has let me know to be listening for the Spirit's instructions on how to improve.

My writing goals are pretty loosely outlined. Seeing the Life and Mark & Kyria's story (just a working title) finished and released by June. Write a short story and a devotion each month. Once the two novels are finished I'm hoping Janie from Cottonwood and her story are more framed in my mind. Also I have an idea for the third Stones Creek Novel. So we'll see what God has in mind for my writing in 2014.

January comes and we head to warmer weather. We will be leaving on vacation for two weeks in the Caribbean. I can't wait. It's 14º today. I think that's enough said.

I'm not going to be focusing on the novels until after we get back. Instead I'm going to do so re-formatting and corrections in the Stones Creek novels. They need fixed somewhat. I may do the same for the Cottonwood novels. I'm working on getting the print formats ready for distribution with Ingram. This would open large retail chains to carry my novels. I'm hoping to get some of the Christian book stores interested in my work. We'll see.

There may be a couple of rerun blog posts during January. It's what I plan now. I had planned the same during November when I was working on my NANO but topics to write about seemed to pop into my head. That may happen in January also. We'll see.
